Hole #6 at Cedar Crest

Length is this hole's main defense. However, there is generally a favorable wind on this hole, so it is possible to get one out there off the tee into the mid-iron range. Also, the landing area is extremely generous, so there should be few issues off of the tee unless you are very errant with your drive.

The approach shot is the most important shot you will hit on this hole. There are some trees about 80 yards from the green, but they are generally not an issue. The green is surrounded by several mounds and depressions with the exception of the front of the green, so missing short here is the only place you want to miss. Missing long, left or right will most likely leave you in a depression forcing you to pitch from well below the green, over a mound, and up to the green.

The green is a big one and slopes gradually from back to front. Draining one from way downtown here is a definite possibility.
