Hole #4 at Cedar CrestFrom the tee, hole #4 appears to be straight away, but the fairway is offset to the left, so it plays like a dogleg to the right. Off the tee, there is really not too much trouble. You have to stray way to the left to end up in a pasture, which is out of bounds. Way right and long will put you in some significant rough. Focus on playing your tee shot over the yardage stakes and put it in the short grass. Generally speaking, a decent tee shot should put a wedge or at least a short iron in your hand. The green slopes from back to front and is elevated on three sides. The only area that will leave a level chip is if you leave your approach shot short. The green is two-tiered, sloping from back to front. The transition between tiers is fairly subtle, so lengthy putts can be made. |
