Hole #3 at Cedar CrestEven though this is a short par 3, it presents all kinds of issues off the tee. You have to be precise off the tee or you will walk away with a big number. Short and left is no good. As you can see on the hole layout to the left, short and left will wind up wet. Long and left isn't much better, since it runs away from the green and into some cedar trees, leaving a chip or punch shot to the green, which slopes away from this position. Short and right will put you in the trees as will long and right. Basically, you need to find the green. Even if you are able to find the green, you still have your work cut out for you. This green slopes toward the water, and there is a big ridge running vertically from back left to front right. |
