Hole #2 at Cedar CrestKeep your tee shot down the right side of the fairway in order to have an opportunity to reach the green in two. The left side is no good since you will wind up behind tall trees and will be forced to lay up. If you go too far right and long, you will have the same problem. If you are forced to lay up, it is still a difficult task due to the fact that the fairway bottlenecks at about 150 yards to the green. If you decide to go for it in two, do not make your mistake to the left. You will have absolutely no shot at the green from that wooded area, and you will be staring bogey square in the face. If you make a mistake, make it to the right. The green is tucked behind the trees down the left side, so if you are in the trees to the right, you will have a chance to get it close to or on the green in three. The green is probably the flattest on the course. It slopes a bit from back to front, but does not have any drastic contouring. It is a very large green, but long putts are very makeable. |
