Hole #18 at Cedar CrestThis long par 5 finishing hole requires you to remain focused in order to finish strong. Favor the left side off of the tee, since the right side has plenty of tree trouble and thick rough. Only the big hitters will have a snowballs chance to reach the green in two, so plan on laying up here. There's a line of trees running perpendicular to the fairway about 120 yards from the green, so keep that in mind when you're laying up. The green is protected on the front-left side by a greenside bunker. Other than that, there are no other obstructions around the green. This green is a real bear. The middle of the green is the highest point and it slopes down to the back and to the front. The back-side is tucked behind the bunker, and since it slopes down and away, it is very difficult to go at a pin position back there. You will be happy to put par down on the scorecard. |
