Hole #16 at Cedar CrestThis dogleg right has a similar tee shot strategy to that of the 10th hole. You can pull the driver out of the bag and cut the corner to give yourself a chance to put a wedge in your hands, but you risk running it through the fairway and into the same cedar treestand that you want to avoid on the 15th. Right is good here, but too far right is OB. On the approach, you have trees left, and a group of trees that have limbs hanging over the short-right portion of the green. The green itself is narrow, so it's pretty easy to miss, unless you hit driver off of the tee and kept it in play. This green has some of the most wicked undulation you will experience at Cedar Crest. The general slope is from back to front, but even if you are sitting 15' from the cup, you may end up rolling it three times. |
