hole1

Hole #1 at Cedar Crest

Water right, trees left... the only place to hit your tee shot on hole #1 is right down the middle, unless, of course, you have the length to carry the trees and water. It's about a 260 yard carry from the blue tees to get that accomplished.

The fairway opens up on the other side of the trees, and at that point, there is about 130 yards to the green. Your approach shot is slightly uphill to the green, which is slightly elevated and surrounded on three sides by sizeable mounds. The green slopes down from right to left, so keep that in mind on your approach shot so that you can stay beneath the hole.

This green has only one small area that is relatively flat, and that is on the right side, which is the highest level of the green as well. From that point, the green slopes down toward the back of the green and down to the left.
